Jimmy is a 7 year-old boy who was diagnosed with Autism at age 4 and was placed
in a special program for children with autism. His parents were aware that
Jimmy was having some social and behavioral problems but did not believe that
their child had autism. After a thorough assessment, it was determined that
Jimmy was not autistic but had a significant speech and language delay. He
began receiving intensive speech and language therapy and was moved to a mainstream
educational classroom. Jimmy began to thrive in his new environment.
